Kayak Island State Marine Park — Anchorage Guide
Kayak Island State Marine Park is located on the west side of the island, about 50 miles from Cordova. It is a remote, exposed island in the Gulf of Alaska where Vitus Bering’s expedition made the first recorded European contact with Alaska in 1741.
